Le Mémorial de l’internement et de la déportation reçoit les artistes photographes Aline Diépois &#38;amp; Thomas Gizolme pour la sortie de leur livre de photos Fragments.

Fragments est un travail sur la perception du temps qui passe et sur l’évocation comme processus cognitif, à partir des collections du Mémorial. Ce livre s’inscrit dans une recherche esthétique commencée depuis de nombreuses années sur la question de la disparition.

La présentation du livre sera accompagnée d’une exposition des collections présentes dans l’ouvrage ainsi que d’une séance de dédicaces.
Cet événement est organisé en partenariat avec la Librairie des Signes.

&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;
 A l’automne 2015 nous sommes partis dans les Vosges accompagner notre amie Elodie à Solbach. Elle enterrait Roger B. son père. De ce père, nous ne savions que peu de choses. Il était enté à l’hôpitalde Strasbourg pour y subir des examens… Il n’en était jamais ressorti. Il avait 82 ans. il n’avait pas élevé notre amie, mais ils se voyaient régulièrement depuis une vingtaine d’années. Peu à peu les liens s’étaient tissés. Il vivait avec Anne, fille d’un affichiste français célèbre en son temps, Anne était atteinte de démence sénile depuis plusieurs années, elle était peintre et avait été autrefois une passionaria durant la guerre d’Algérie.&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Ensemble, ils vivaient l’hiver à St Germain en Laye et l’été à Solbach.
Roger était des Vosges, enfant il avait été enrôlé, comme tant d’autres, dans les jeunesse Hitlériennes. Les possibilités d’ascension sociales n’étaient pas nombreuses à cette époque et dans cette région… Fièrement, il avait fait Saint-Cyr et se destinait à incarner l’élite militaire de la France. La guerre d’Algérie fait rage et logiquement il s’engage sous les drapeaux afin de combattre le FLN. A la signature de l’indépendance il ne supporte pas le choix de de Gaulle et, se sentant lâché par le gouvernement, il entre en résistance et participe alors au Putsch des généraux, une tentative ratée de coup d’état militaire. Vient alors la disgrâce et le déshonneur, la prison et la dépression. Sorti de prison, en disgrâce avec l’armée française, il s’engage dans la Légion Etrangère, chez les parachutistes et se retrouve sur divers théâtre d’opérations militaires aux quatre coins du globe.
	&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; 
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Ce jour là, au temple protestant de Solbach, quelques camarades légionnaires sont présents. Survivants d’une époque révolue, en uniforme, ils portent sur leurs vieilles épaules le fragile cercueil de leur frère d’arme et entonnent solennellement le Chant du Diable, étrange et envoutant. Parmi les quelques personnes présentes, il y a cet homme, la soixantaine, qui ressemble curieusement au fils d’Elodie. C’est son frère. Elodie en connait depuis longtemps l’existence mais c’est là, devant le cercueil de leur père qu’elle fait sa connaissance. Il y a aussi ce jeune pasteur américain qui semble bien connaitre Roger à la façon émue dont il parle de lui. Quelques personnes du village sont venues rendre un dernier hommage à Roger, et puis il y a Aline et moi, pièces rapportées venues soutenir notre amie.
Et là, attenante au temple, dans ce minuscule village d’un autre temps : la maison. Plantée au numéro 35 de la rue principale, au milieu d’un jardin négligé, une fontaine à ses pieds. La porte est ouverte, un chat se lèche les pattes sur le sol de la cuisine. Ici, le temps s’est arrêté : lit défaits, vaisselle dans l’évier, livres ouverts et correspondance inachevée, fleurs séchées. La maison semble vouloir nous raconter. Nous poussons la porte et pas à pas nous marchons alors sur les brumes du passé.

	Atoll de Tarawa, Iles Gilbert, Kiribati1°25’04’’N / 173°2’0’’E

A la surface de l’eau, une étroite bande de sable s’obstine dans une ceinture d’écume irisée. Rien n’est plus gracieux que ces îles blanches à peine émergées de quelques centimètres au dessus des flots. Sous un soleil de plomb, le temps s’immobilise. 

A Tarawa, une route unique relie le Nord au Sud, surchargée de voitures, de motos, de minibus. Derrière les nuages de poussière soulevés par le va-et-vient incessant des véhicules, les habitants arpentent cette route sans nom, lentement, très lentement. 

Ici, la densité de l’air ressemble parfois à une caresse sur la peau quand, de la mer étincelante, s’élève à peine un murmure apaisant. On pourrait sentir là, combien le monde certains jours, nous offre la trompeuse impression d’être un lieu acceuillant, fait à la mesure des rêves et des plus étranges désirs de l’homme.

Mais le lagon est pollué, les carcasses de voitures s’y entassent les unes après les autres. Chaque marée ressasse des déchets qui s’accrochent aux mangroves. Et les vagues de l’océan entament le rivage tous les jours un peu plus. Elles se brisent sur des digues inutiles et grignotent inlassablement ce fragile territoire. Sans hâte aucune, les villageois consolident ces absurdes remparts, reconstruisent leurs maisons, en vain. Et parfois, parfois aussi, la pluie survient au beau milieu de la saison sèche.

Le paradis se déglingue.

&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Introduction

Ni romantique, ni topographique, souvent presque abstrait ou elliptique, le paysage témoigne de l’espace de la relation qui se &#38;nbsp;construit en photographiant, de lieu en lieu, voyage après voyage. Abstrakt Zermatt est une randonnée photographique dans les Alpes suisses avec pour camp de base la ville de Zermatt au pied du Cervin. Une «patrie» pour la Suissesse Aline Diepois, le lieu de l’enfance, de la famille, un «chez moi» qui avec temps et le travail photographique est devenu un «chez nous». La série a d’ailleurs la couleur du souvenir, de ceux que l’on invente à force de rêver, comme si le temps s’était transformé en espace. La mise en page, également signée par les auteurs, renforce le caractère imaginaire du paysage, en créant des vis-à-vis inattendus, des cadavre exquis visuels.On entre en Abstrakt Zermatt avec la sensation de descendre dans le profond d’un songe, de ceux qui vous rappelle à l’étrangeté du monde.

 &#38;nbsp;Introduction&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;L’ensemble de ces photographies ont été réalisées&#38;nbsp; à Hong Kong sur une durée très courte, 48h. Le décalage horaire, la chaleur et l’humidité avaient eu raison de nous. Hébétés, nous marchions au hasard, traversant un marché coincé entre deux gratte-ciels, débouchant à Kowloon, fascinés par l’urbanisme comme par la nature. Le titre «Hong Kong Blues» vient d’une chanson de Hoagy Carmichael en 1929 où un fumeur d’opium déambule dans la ville cherchant désespérément de la drogue et un refuge. Ces photographies sont tirées d’un livre autoédité à 50 exemplaires signés et numérotés.Song by Hoaggy Carmichael&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; It's the story of a very unfortunate colored man&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Who got arrested down in old Hong Kong&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; He got twenty years privilege taken away from him&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; When he kicked old Buddha's gong&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; 
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; And now he's poppin' the piano just to raise the price&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Of a ticket to the land of the free&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; Well, he says his home's in Frisco where they send the rice&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; But it's really in Tennessee&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; 
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; That's why he said, "I need someone to love me&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; I need somebody to carry me home to San Francisco&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; And bury my body there&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; I need someone to lend me a fifty dollar bill and then&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; I'll leave Hong Kong behind me for happiness once again"&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp;

"It all started when we decided to run away from Paris and catch up with the desert, over in Tucson, Marfa, Willcox and other secluded places in the States. Along the way, we often came across this sign: "Dust storm may exist." Strangely enough it reflected our mood at that precise moment. I remember a movie whose name I've forgotten right now, the hero would say: "As long as you're moving no one can get you," it must have been a war movie in which the protagonists tried to pass through bullets. This book is like that image. Through the juxtaposition of these photos and texts, we've fled one story to create another, made of pleasure and doubt, of trust and fear and mostly of laughter and jokes. Dust Book is our story."

&#38;nbsp; Introduction&#38;nbsp;
&#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; &#38;nbsp; “As Time Goes By“ est une série de photographies tirées à partir d’un unique négatif noir et blanc 4X5 inches. Il s’agit d’une photo de fleur de facture assez classique. Nous avons ensuite déposé le négatif à l’extérieur, où exposé continuellement à la lumière du jour, subissant les intempéries et la pollution, il se dégrade. A date fixe, le négatif est scanné et fait apparaître une nouvelle image. Le processus de destruction/apparition, encore en cours aujourd’hui, a déjà donné naissance à 32 images.
